Hyperlink tips for PowerPoint slides

Hyperlink tips for PowerPoint slides: 20/08/2008

Individuals who wish to hide hyperlinks when creating PowerPoint slides are now able to do so by simply following these instructions.

While having hyperlinks within a slide can be useful for quick navigation, the fact that they stand out in a different style to the rest of the text can be distracting, noted Susan Harkins in her blog for Tech Republic.

Simply enter the text you want to be hyperlinked, select the rectangle button in the Drawing toolbar and create an Autoshape which covers the text.

Next, insert a hyperlink using the toolbar button and follow the instructions to insert the address to link to.

Finally, right-click the Autoshape and choose the format option. Set the fill colour to No Fill and the line colour to No Line and click OK.

Meanwhile, individuals who want to make sure images are kept in the same position from slide to slide can do so by pressing the Ctrl key when positioning them.

By doing this PowerPoint's grid lines are turned off and the image can be moved in much smaller increments.
