Interactive PowerPoint slides could be the next big thing as they allow information to be broadcast live as part of a presentation, it has been claimed.
According to Tech Crunch, audience participation can help to get everyone involved in a topic or presentation and one of the best ways to do this is to hold a poll.
Using mobile phone technology, the audience can now take part in a presentation by answering simple questions via text messages and seeing their results come up live on screen via a polling service.
Whilst this kind of interactivity was previously costly and complicated to set up, a new company called Poll Everywhere is now offering a cheap and reliable service to create bespoke PowerPoint slides showing the instant results of polls.
In other news, Microsoft has recently revealed it is launching a trial of its new pptPlex software, a new form of PowerPoint.
Users are able to create a canvas for their presentation and navigate around independently, thus creating a more fluid and changing presentation.
