Makayama has released a new application for iPhone users which allows the device to be used as a controller for giving PowerPoint presentations.
IPhone World has reported that the software allows presenters to plug their iPhone into any PC via a Wi-Fi connection and control the proceedings through the device.
The smartphone can then be used as a clicker to move between slides and gives the presenter the opportunity to view the next slide on their phone prior to it being presented on screen.
Meanwhile, Information Week recently reported that businessmen and women could soon do away with their laptops and will be able to use their iPhones to complete all their day-to-day business tasks.
Steve Rubel, a blogger for MicroPersuasion and public relations executive at Edelman Digital, told the website that, at present, he often leaves his laptop at home when going on a business trip and simply uses his smartphone to stay on top of work when he is away.
